Kevin B. Harris, President & CEO
Kevin Harris is a successful executive who co-founded his first company early in his career. As co-founder & CIO at AmeriVault he created and directed all technical operations and service delivery as well as provided executive leadership for the entire company. After 12 years of building a company from the ground up, AmeriVault was successfully acquired in 2008 by PHNS, a Dallas, TX based leader in Healthcare Information Services. Before co-founding AmeriVault, he was responsible for network operations for the New England Controls Division of Johnson Controls, a multi-billion dollar corporation, with worldwide leadership in two businesses: automotive systems and building controls. Prior to that, he was a network systems engineer at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, one of the region’s largest healthcare providers and the major teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School. Kevin is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst's distinguished BDIC program in Management Information Systems. Kevin has also provided Technology and Leadership Consulting to various companies and currently sits on the Board of Advisors of DexRex, LLC, and instant communications archiving software company.
Kevin has been a long time supporter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts, Buddy Dog Humane Society and other local animal shelters and rescue groups and is also a 14-year veteran rider in the Pan-Mass Challenge. When not working or supporting his favorite organizations he enjoys spending time at home with his wife, 2 kids and 2 dogs, cooking, and working on home improvement projects.
Bud Stoddard, Executive Vice President & Chairman
Bud Stoddard is a successful serial entrepreneur who has founded five different companies in the information management and data storage industry. In 1998 he founded AmeriVault with Kevin Harris, which became an early market leader in the online data backup market. Over the subsequent decade, the company rose to prominence in its niche with nearly nine hundred customers in forty-five states and twelve countries. In 2008 AmeriVault was acquired by PHNS of Dallas, TX a leader in the Healthcare information services.
Stoddard tried retirement in 2009, wrote "Reflections of a Serial Entrepreneur" and joined the Boards of two small technology companies. In early 2010 NextVault was founded and immediately acquired VaultUSA to accelerate its growth and gain market share. Bud will serve as Chairman of NextVault and Executive Vice President of Vault USA.
Tom Trometer, Chief Financial Officer
Tom is responsible for the financial management of Vault USA's operations. In this role he provides oversight for the financial management of the business, directs the corporate treasury function, establishes the protocols and standards for internal reporting and assists in building the business model and plan for the company. He has over 25 years experience, and was previously VP Finance and CFO of CableSoft, where he was instrumental in raising capital and selling the company to Motorola. Trometer was also VP of Finance and Treasurer of Opta Food Ingredients, a public company, and was instrumental in raising over $40M in equity funds. He was also a manager in the Middle Market and Growing Companies Division of Price Waterhouse Coopers.
Tom is a CPA and is a graduate of Canisius College where he earned a bachelor of science degree in Accounting.
Phil Johnson, Director of Sales
Prior to joining NextVault, Phil was the Manager of Commercial Inside Sales at RSA, The Security Division of EMC. In this role, Phil was responsible for his team driving revenue in North America, in addition to the development, management and direction of the Inside Sales Team.
Phil assumed this role following EMC Corporation’s acquisition of RSA and Network Intelligence in September of 2006. Phil served as Manager of Inside Sales for Network Intelligence, a leader in transforming enterprise-wide data into automated compliance and security information. Prior to this, Phil served as the Manager of Inside Sales at LoJack Corporation, the premier worldwide provider of wireless tracking and recovery systems for mobile assets, is the leader in global stolen vehicle recovery, Phil was also the Manager of Inside Sales at SightPath, a developer of appliances for creating intelligent content delivery networks. While at SightPath, he was responsible for creating an Inside Sales business model which eventually led to the acquisition of SightPath by Cisco Systems in 2000.
Phil holds a B.S. in Sales Management and an A.S. in Business Administration from Johnson & Wales University.
