What would you do if you went home, to your office, to your car, back to your hotel room and your laptop or computer was not there. Someone stole it! Think about it! You company's data, now at large.  Your digital pictures, your music, your financial records, all of your programs, all of your emails, etc. are all gone.  Now think about a fire, or water damage or your computer crashing.   It happens all the time and it will happen to you.  Are you properly protected?
